The Site
Lews Castle sits among the mature woodlands of the Castle Grounds, only a few minutes walk from the centre of Stornoway and close to the new campus of Lews Castle College.
The attractions of the Castle Grounds include miles of coastal and wooded walks, wonderful views from Gallows Hill, accessible salmon fishing on the Creed River and a challenging 18-hole golf course.
The Woodlands Centre, operated by Stornoway Trust is a welcome recent addition, with its cafe, shop and information facilities.
